Blog comments are a good way to build relevant backlinks to your websites, profiles, pages, properties, or whatever you want to call them.
They are pretty easy to get, and pretty easy to find as well. In this post I will show you how to use the CommentLuv footprint to find do follow blogs to get links from by just adding a simple, non-spammy, on topic comment to the blogs that we find. I’ll also show you how to use the Disqus footprint in Google to find tons of great sites to get links from.
How To Find Blogs To Comment On
There are literally hundreds of different blog hosting platforms available to bloggers and website owners to choose from when they want to create their blogs and websites. Most of these platforms have what is called a “footprint”. As an SEO and affiliate marketer you should take some time to learn about all of the awesome functions of search engines that you may not know of, which might include using footprints to find certain types of results. I will write some articles about search operators soon, but I haven’t got anything written here about them just yet.
Basically, a lot of blogs and plugins leave footprints all over Google for us to track down if we know what to search for. I’ve got a pretty big list (though it doesn’t even touch the surface of what is available) of footprints that you can use to find different types of blogs for commenting on.
You can see the list by clicking here:

How To Use SEO Footprints
By putting one of the blog comment footprints into google in “quotation marks” and adding a keyword to the end of the search query, you end up with a list of urls in the search results that all have the SEO footprint on them. So a great way to find blogs to comment on is to do just that, find a blog that has a footprint that indicates that they can be commented on, enter it into a search on Google with a relevant keyword to your own site, and do the search. You’ll get a list of relevant blogs that you can leave comments on!
Which Blog Commenting Footprints Are Best?
It’s not that there is one type of blog comment that’s better than the others, but there are a couple that I find are the easiest to find, and have the most success rates. They are also largely Do Follow links if that’s something that you are concerned with. Personally, I don’t care about nofollow/dofollow anymore since Google still follows the links no matter what, they just don’t pass on PR to the nofollow URLs, that doesn’t mean it won’t still improve your search engine ranks.
CommentLuv Footprint
The first of the two footprints that I like to use most is CommentLuv. CommentLuv is used by bloggers who WANT comments on their blogs! The latest version of CommentLuv has even got options that allow you to get Do Follow links on a blog after a certain number of comments (so you have to post more than 1 comment to get a do follow link, otherwise the link is nofollow), it also adds a link at the bottom of your comment to a recent post from your website (if you are using a blog that has an RSS feed). After leaving so many comments you may unlock a feature that allows you to choose which blog post to display instead of the default of showing only your most recent post.
You also get the usual backlink that most blogs provide that has the link anchored to the name that you use when writing the comment, so finding CommentLuv blogs is like a triple win since you’re finding blogs that WANT comments, and you can unlock dofollow comments by performing certain tasks, and you get two links instead of just one.

Disqus Footprint
What I like about Disqus blog comments is that it’s relatively new and NOT spammed to death! A lot of the sites that use Disqus are still auto-approve, which means that a website moderator doesn’t have to approve your comment and link before it appears on their page, so you can get your links faster and it’s easier to keep track of your progress with auto approve blogs.
In the video below, I show you how to use the Disqus footprint in google to find websites to comment on, and also how to set up your Disqus profile so that you will get links when you post comments.
So now you know…
I hope this quick guide on how to use the CommentLuv and Disqus SEO footprints will help you find blogs to comment on that will give you high quality, relevant backlinks to your website and help to push you up in the search results so you can get more exposure and more traffic!

You’re so right. Someone once told that once you’ve signed up for commenting system or a blog, you’ll be able to find and root blogs that are using the same thing and thus being able to have more blogs to comment on. Simple as that.
